Families unfold and evolve in unique and beautiful ways. I believe that all families deserve respect, civil rights, public safety, access to quality government programs, great schools, quality health care, safe roads and public transportation, and opportunities to give back.
Families can take on many forms such as single moms and dads, foster families, traditional families, grandparents raising their grandchildren, Christian and Muslim families, childless couples, LBGTQ families, adults caring for seniors, adoptive families and blended families.
Regardless of how we define our family, we all deserve equal honor and access to the very government programs that we all pay taxes to support. All of the diverse families within our District must be spoken for and I will advocate strongly for this.
