How Has the State Senator for Conroe, Texas Voted on Gun Control Legislation?

The Texas Senate recently passed a bill that would not require evacuees to surrender their firearms in a difficult situation. The bill was approved by a one-vote margin and sent to the governor. Brandon Creighton, Republican from Conroe, urged support for the changes to House Bill 1177. However, Joan Huffman, a Republican from Houston, opposed the changes in the conference committee that adopted the House version of the bill. All 12 Democratic senators voted against, along with Republican senators Robert Nichols of Jacksonville, Kel Seliger of Amarillo and Huffman.

But the changes made in the Senate were scrapped by the conference committee, which returned the originally approved and less restrictive version of the House of Representatives for final approval.
